control freak

i have discovered that i am a control freak. this has been a harder thing for me to come to terms with than i would have expected. i am also passive-aggressive but i was aware of that.

this matters to me because i had always though of myself as this super cool, laid back person who could roll with the punches and let things slide. wow....soooooo not true, at least as far as work goes but i think it most aspects of my life.

and yes this discovery is a big deal to me because it changes my perception of myself so even if this isn't news to you, it's news to me

i haven't been able to decide if being a control freak is something i'm ok with or not

everything has pagan roots

i used to say i wouldn't celebrate any holiday that didn't have pagan roots...so that meant that valentine's day was out being that it was a commerical holiday created by greeting card companies to celebrate profits, blah blah blah

well it turns out that valentine's day is a christianized pagan holiday...a celebrated roman festival welcoming the coming spring

damn, so not fair

but this does mean i can celebrate valentine's day with ritual animal sacrifice and cover myself in goat blood

i guess that sounds like fun

stretch and owie

i stretched my own ear lobes last night using silicon plugs. i went from 1/2" to something bigger. honestly i can't remember if it's 9/16" or 5/8", but it's sore so i know it's bigger than what i had!

looks cool and makes me feel cool....just a little bit bigger eventually and the lobes will be perfect.

i swear i'm almost done "modifying" myself

and i did it all by myself which was cool..i feel accomplished :)
